My older sister finally had a couple of hours free from her busy teaching job, and we agreed to meet in a new coffee shop ( and art gallery) near the Tamshui river.

I saw this coffee shop earlier, but was intimidated by its mysterious appearance (a bird cage) and the unknown menu, and minimum charge. Fortunately, my sister had been there, and she invited me to have tea!

When we arrived, Laura and I were the only customers in the store. I felt a bit anxious and wished that my sister would come soon. My sister finally arrived. She said the owners are artists, and they created everything, including the painting, necklaces, tables, chairs, etc. in the store all by themselves.

I did not find anything I could afford and could not help wondering who could be interested in the art works. They serve coffee or tea for NT100 dollars, including a few cookies. My sister even brought her own snacks to eat there, which seemed strange to me. You don't need to tip in Taiwan.

Quite a feast

Then, a lady came in, but it turned out that she is a friend of the owner, and of my sister. We turned into an instant family, and took some photos together.

More people came in, but they were all friends of the owner. I wonder if they had any real customers. I hope this store will survive until we come back next time!
